Voigtländer Heliar 40mm F2.8 Asph. VM
It is available with two connections: the VM connection and with M39 screw thread (here called Voigtländer L*).
In addition to the ultra-compact design, a highlight is the elegant and precisely manufactured focusing lever, which can also be fixed using a locking mechanism. The lens itself, with a total length of 21.2 mm (VM bayonet connection) or 20.2 mm (L* screw mount), remains pleasantly compact on the camera and does not protrude into the viewfinder image. The imaging performance is impressive even at open aperture with very good sharpness right up to the edges; the shortest shooting distance is 0.7 m. The 40 mm F2.8 Heliar aspherical VM / L* (M39) presents itself in a retro style on the outside, but equipped with the latest optical calculations on the inside!
The weight is 131 g (VM connection) or 110 g (L* /M39 connection). A lens hood and a snap-on cover are included in the scope of delivery. Both connection versions are available in black or silver (lens hood and snap-on cover only available in black - also with the silver version).
* Voigtländer L-mount has nothing in common with the L-mount of Leica, Sigma, Panasonic and Leitz Cine lens!
