Like all Leica APO lenses, it impresses with its outstanding imaging performance and delivers exceptionally sharp and high-contrast images in every lighting situation. This means that it effortlessly joins the family of legendary Leica APO lenses, which are among the best in the world.
The lens of the Q3 43 isolates subjects from the background with harmonious bokeh at maximum aperture of f/2 and creates perfect shots even in poor lighting conditions. The integrated macro mode also enables impressively detailed close-ups. Despite the complex construction of the apochromatically corrected lens with seven aspherical lens surfaces, the compact dimensions of the Leica Q family have been retained.

full-frame sensor with Triple Resolution technology
The Leica Q3 43 offers the possibility of taking photos with a resolution of 60, 36 or 18 MP thanks to the full-frame sensor with Triple Resolution technology. Each can be freely selected for images in JPEG and DNG format. The camera uses the same resolution regardless of the selected resolution. always the full sensor size with the large light sensitivity range from ISO 50 to 100,000. The Maestro IV processor with L² technology ensures fast and reliable operation when taking photos and filming, even at the highest resolution.
Videos presented authentically
Equipped with the same video features as the Leica Q3, the Q3 43 also enables videos with a resolution of up to 8k and numerous video codecs such as the highly efficient .h265 and ProRes 422 HQ with up to 60fps (1080p). With a focal length of 43 mm, the Leica Q3 43 records scenes authentically and with natural, true-to-life and distortion-free perspectives. The ability to connect gimbals, microphones, power banks and external display recorders to the camera via USB-C and HDMI also expands the range of applications when creating video content.
