Manual lens in the medium telephoto focal length range.
The Voigtländer 90 mm F2.8 APO-Skopar VM is a medium telephoto lens with manual focus. It has been completely redesigned and uses glass with abnormal partial dispersion in five of the seven elements, which achieves exceptionally high sharpness and makes the images appear rich and three-dimensional. In addition to the high image quality, the apochromatic design ensures that the axial chromatic aberration is as close to zero as possible.
During development, compactness was also considered above all, and as a result the Voigtländer 90mm F2.8 APO-Skopar VM is only 60 mm long and weighs just 250 g. Due to its small size, it does not protrude into the viewfinder frame when used on a rangefinder camera.
The aperture with its 10 blades takes on a special shape. It forms a circle not only when the aperture is fully open at F2.8, but also at F4 and F22. This means that circular light reflections can be created when the lens is aimed directly at a point light source.
The shortest shooting distance connected to the rangefinder is 0.9 m (depending on the camera used), which is a very good value for a 90mm lens. A lens hood, which can also be attached to the lens upside down when not in use, is included in the scope of delivery.
The Voigtländer 90 mm F2.8 APO-Skopar VM is available in silver and black and can also be attached to Sony E-mount, Fujifilm X-mount and Nikon Z-mount digital cameras with appropriate adapters.
