14 high-precision lenses, three of which have an aspherical surface, divided into 11 groups, contribute to the highest level of image quality even with the aperture fully open. Unique to the super wide angle is its apochromatic correction, which makes it the world's first 21mm APO lens for full-frame cameras. To perfectly correct chromatic aberrations, most of the lens elements used have anomalous partial dispersion and are made of special glass, the sophisticated processing of which allows even the most innovative manufacturing methods to make full use of it.
