The standard fixed focal length opens up a wide range of applications: from landscape to street and reportage photography to close-ups of up to 24 centimeters. The SL lens's stepless autofocus focuses quickly and precisely. And it does so extremely quietly. This makes the SL lens ideal for demanding videography with the famous Summicron look. At 370 grams, it is also very light in the hand. Almost half as light as the high-performance APO-Summicron-SL with apochromatic lenses. The best prerequisites for always being with you.

The Summicron-SL 1:2/35 ASPH. is made up of 11 lenses in nine groups. Three lenses contain aspherical surfaces, and another three lenses are made of glass with anomalous partial dispersion. Their special optical properties compensate for chromatic aberrations and enable the best image and video quality with a compact and lightweight design. The new linear direct drive ensures particularly fast, even and quiet focusing behavior.
