With a title inspired by Magnum co-founder Robert Capa’s quote, “If your pictures aren’t good enough, you’re not close enough,” Close Enough presents more than 100 artworks by women, including Sabiha Çimen’s exploration of the experiences young Islamic women in Turkey; Alessandra Sanguinetti's long-term collaboration with her Argentinian cousins Guille and Belinda, Bieke Depoorter's dialogue with Egyptians from different social, cultural and religious backgrounds and Susan Meiselas' work on domestic violence in England. Also included are works by Olivia Arthur , Myriam Boulos, Cristina de Middel, Carolyn Drake, Nanna Heitmann, Hannah Price, Lua Ribeira, Cristina Garcia Rodero and Newsha Tavakolian. The photographers curated the exhibition together with Charlotte Cotton in the 75th year after the founding of Magnum Photos.
