This is the alternative for those photographers who don't want to have to adjust the tripod legs to different lengths on uneven ground. The Ranger LS-324CEX is essentially identical to the Ranger LS-324C. But instead of a rigid head plate, the LS-324CEX has a leveling base with a tilt of up to 15° in each direction. This makes it easy to position the camera horizontally, which is particularly welcome for video and panoramic shots. Many photographers are happy to forego maximum load capacity for this not inconsiderable work relief.
